Rail Gearcase Parts Washer

PROCECO offers parts cleaning systems to wash locomotive traction motor gearcases with aqueous cleaning solution. Special fixtures, holding 4 or 6 gearcase halves in vertical orientation, are used for efficient loading and unloading of gearcases. An optional jib crane is offered to make this operation independent of the shop crane.

This cleaning system is designed to perfectly clean welded-steel as well as fiberglass gearcases, whether they are oil-lubricated or by bitumen-based crater compound. The recirculating aqueous cleaning process is based on high pump flow rate, pressure, temperature, and a very small percentage of detergent (typically 0.5%)

Our automatic parts cleaning systems facilitate inspection and repair/rebuilding as per AAR standards and guidelines.

Heavy-Duty Batch / Cabinet Parts Washers - TYPHOON®-HD

PROCECO's TYPHOON®-HD heavy-duty turntable cleans railway traction motor gearcases with the help of high-pressure, heated spray jets of aqueous solution.

This heavy-duty water-based parts washer is equipped with an automatic oil and grease removal skimmer conveyor to extract the oil, grease, and crater compound from the cleaning solution. This exclusive feature maximizes the life of the cleaning solution; saves detergent, heat & water; and minimizes the frequency and cost of solution disposal.

PROCECO's TYPHOON®-HD also includes a freshwater rinse stage, which can add a rust inhibitor to the rinse stage if required.
